Our Story
Viking Roofing was founded in Colorado in 1990 by Scot Sund with a vision to change the way homeowners experienced the roofing industry. Having worked for another roofing contractor early in his career, Sund witnessed a troubling philosophy: treat homeowners as adversaries rather than valued customers. The prevailing attitude he encountered was, “screw the homeowner because they’re gonna screw me,” a mindset he knew was both unethical and unsustainable. Believing there was a better way, Sund set out to build a company grounded in integrity, trust, and long-term relationships with clients.
From the beginning, Viking Roofing’s mission was simple—do the job right, treat people with respect, and stand by every promise made. Sund’s belief that a roofing business could thrive by putting homeowners first proved true, earning the company a reputation for reliability and quality workmanship. Over the decades, Viking Roofing has grown to serve communities across Colorado, providing both residential and commercial roofing solutions with the same homeowner-focused philosophy that inspired its founding. That commitment remains at the heart of the company’s operations today, more than three decades later.
